Who are We?
Bethesda Church is an independent Christian
fellowship with opportunities for all ages.
We are an evangelical, Bible teaching, family
focused, and missions minded church. Good things are happening
at Bethesda Church and we are looking forward to the future with a
tremendous amount of anticipation. Our worship services feature an
inspiring music ministry that will touch your heart and draw you
closer to the Lord.
We have now moved to the Savage/ Prior Lake area
from South Minneapolis, where we have had a rich heritage in serving
the Lord.
The Mission of Bethesda Church is to worship God and serve Him by modeling
our faith, sharing the way of salvation, and guiding believers to maturity
in Christ and His Word.
Bethesda Church enjoys being a place where you feel at home and are inspired
to become all that you can be. The foundation of
our ministry is Biblical teaching with practical and relevant applications
to life. Built on this foundation is a friendly fellowship that:
* Lovingly accepts each person as a unique creation of God
* Has a desire to reach people with the love of Jesus Christ
* Encourages each one to develop and use their abilities in service to
one another
* Seeks personal growth and a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
When did we start as a church?
The church was incorporated on August 22, 1924 and purchased the property
at the corner of 26th Ave. S and East 38th St. Minneapolis, MN on Sept.22,
1924. It has been our pleasure to serve the community for over 80 years.
On Oct. 16, 2005, we moved to our new location in Savage/Prior Lake. We are an independent, local Bible church. We are associated with the
Grace
Gospel Fellowship. This is a fellowship of churches and each church is autonomous
and has its own unique style and approach to ministry and worship.
What do we believe?
We at Bethesda believe that there is no substitute for a right relationship
with God our Creator. This peace with our Maker is only possible through His
Son Jesus Christ. The Bible- God's Word to mankind, informs us how
to receive Jesus Christ and have a meaningful life in this world.
Therefore, we endeavor to share our understanding of God, Jesus Christ and
the Bible in practical ways that make sense, and which will enrich
all who attend our Services.

Our Pastors
Senior Pastor Mark Matychuk, his
wife, Kathy and daughter, Rachel
Pastor Mark, our senior pastor, was raised in the Minneapolis
area and grew up in this church. After pastoring churches in Ohio, Oregon, God has called him to minister here. Pastor
Mark graduated from Grace Bible College with a Bachelor of Theology and a
Masters from Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary. Pastor Mark strives to teach
the Bible in a practical and relevant way that guides people to apply God's
truth in everyday living.
Kathy is doing a wonderful ministry at our church as our Director of Music.
Mark and Kathy have one child, Rachel who is 16 years old and attends
Burnsville High School.
Associate Pastor Dwight Anderson, his wife, Darlene, and children Joel
and Keira (Kyle and Celeste not pictured)
Pastor Dwight also grew up in the Twin City area and then spent 20 years serving as a
missionary church planter in Australia with
Grace Ministries International. He also graduated from
Grace Bible College
with a Bachelor of Theology and graduated from Crown College with an
AA Degree. Dwight and Darlene have felt God's call for
them to minister here now in the Twin Cities area.
Darlene is involved with Jr. High Youth, Sunday School, and
Beginner's Children Church.
Dwight and Darlene have four children who all love the Lord and
serve in various ministries. Kyle is working at Nextera
Communications in Eden Prairie, Celeste is working at
Blue Cross Blue Shield in Eagan, and their 16
year old twins, Joel and Keira, are attending Apple Valley High
School and School of Environmental Studies, respectively.
